New Carbon Connect report: 'Power from Renewables'

4th September 2013 saw the parliamentary launch of Carbon Connect's newest report, 'Power from Renewables'. The report's publication completes the second stage of Carbon Connect's three-part inquiry series, the Future Electricity Series.
 
The Future Electricity Series is an independent research inquiry by Carbon Connect, chaired by former energy minister Charles Hendry MP and Baroness Worthington, exploring what role fossil fuels, renewables and nuclear can play in providing sustainable, secure and affordable power in the short, medium and long term.
 
'Power from Renewables' was launched in Parliament, with Secretary of State Ed Davey MP providing the keynote address, alongside parliamentary colleagues Liberal Democrat Iain Swales MP, Conservative Peter Aldous MP and Labour's Alan Whitehead MP, as well as representatives from report sponsors Dong Energy and Siemens.
 
In this video, inquiry co-chair Charles Hendry reflects upon the report and the launch event, alongside Peter Hardy of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers, overall sponsors of the Future Electricity Series.
